Badetasche Svea

Ich möchte euch heute mein neuestes Probenäh-Stück zeigen. Als ich gesehen habe, dass Kreativlabor-Berlin für ein neues Schnittmuster Probenäherinnen sucht, habe ich mich sofort gemeldet. Denn die Badetasche sah schon auf den Fotos super und auch praktisch aus!




Eines vorweg - die Tasche ist riesig! Ich habe die Hauptteile mit Soft&Stable verstärkt und das war ein ganz schönes Stück Stoff bzw. Leder unter meiner Maschine. Hat sie aber brav genäht und mit dem Obertransport war es gar kein Problem!

Zum Ebook: Es ist wirklich toll aufgebaut, alle Schritte genau erklärt und mit vielen Bildern bestückt. Die Variante wie der Reißverschluss eingenäht wird finde ich klasse! Und besonders gut gefallen mir die außen verstellbaren Träger, dann kann man seine Strand- oder Yogamatte prima transportieren.

Ich hatte noch rotes Kunstleder da und wusste sofort, dass ich eine maritime Tasche nähen will - passt doch perfekt zum Thema "Strand", oder? Ich habe den wunderbaren Leuchtturmstoff gefunden und innen habe ich einen dunkelrot-weißen Stoff verwendet. Der Reißverschluss ist auch ein super hübscher. Schaut euch den Zip an!!

Ich kann euch das E-Book wirklich empfehlen! Meine Freundinnen hätten sich die Tasche auch am liebsten gekrallt ;)

hier ist sie... Grete!

Letztes Jahr wollte ich meiner Oma zum 80. Geburtstag ein neues Geldtascherl nähen. Es sollte schön groß und gut verschließbar sein, weil meine Oma immer viel Zeugs mit sich rum trägt. Ich habe gesucht und dann das Schnittmuster "Grete" gefunden. Ich hab mich ans nähen gemacht, ganz viel geflucht und schließlich auch ein Geldtascherl zusammengebracht. Oma hat sich auch gefreut aber so richtig begeistert war ich nicht. Weil ich in letzter Zeit aber so viele wunderschöne Gretes gesehen habe, habe ich dem Schnitt nochmal ne Chance gegeben. Und siehe da - genaues Arbeiten und fast 1 Jahr Näherfahrung mehr und nun hab auch ich eine super hübsche Grete!

Last year I wanted to sew a new wallett for my grandmother's 80th birthday. I wanted it to be big and with a zip because my grandmother always has a LOT of stuff in her wallett. I searched and found the pattern "Grete". I began sewing, cursed quite a lot and finally finished the wallett. My grandmother was happy about it but I wasn't all that pleased with it. And now in the last few feeks I saw a lot of really beautiful Gretes so I decided to give the pattern another try. And yay - precise sewing and cutting and almost 1 year more of sewing experience and I have a really pretty Grete!

Damit das Geldtascherl auch was aushält, habe ich außen Wachstuch (oder besser gesagt ne Plastiktischdecke aus dem Baumarkt^^) verwendet. An die Farben habe ich dann das Innenleben abgestimmt. Richtig knallig und bunt - aber so mag ichs! Als Verstärkung für die Außenseite habe ich Soft&Stable genommen und das hat wunderbar geklappt.
Beim Nähen des Reißverschlusses am Ende musste ich natürlich wieder etwas Fitzelarbeit leisten, aber ich bin zufrieden! Die letzten paar Stiche mit der Hand habe ich mit transparentem Garn genäht, damit das nicht so auffällt. Ich hoffe nur, dass das nicht irgendwann reißt mit dem Wachstuch...

For a more durable wallett I used oilcloth (or better, plastic table-cloth from a hardware store^^). I matched the colors of the inside with that oilcloth. It is really colorful - but that's the way I like it! As interfacing for the outside I used Soft&Stable and this is great for this wallett.
The sewing of the three-side-zip was a little tricky, but I like my results. The last few stitches by hand I made with transparent thread. I just hope, that the oilcloth won't rip...

Cat Eye Pouches

Hallo ihr Lieben! Diese Woche mal nur Donnerstags, jaja mein Blogrhytmus ist noch nicht so ganz etabliert ;) Ich habe die Woche bisher einfach mal die etwas kühleren Temperaturen genossen und richtig viel genäht. Naja, so viel neben dem Arbeiten halt klappt ;)

Hello to you all! This week I'm blogging on thursday, yes I know my blogging-rhythm isn't established yet ;) I just enjoyed the slightly cooler temperatures this week and sewed a lot. Okay, as many as I was able too, still have to work ;)

Vor einiger Zeit habe ich im Internet die super süße "Cat Eye Pouch" von ThreadRidingHood entdeckt. Und die ist sogar ein gratis-Tutorial mit Schnittmuster! Die Schnittmusterteile sehen zwar zuerst etwas kompliziert aus, aber die Anleitung ist richtig gut gemacht mit vielen Bildern und dann ist das Täschchen doch recht einfach genäht. Und sooo hübsch! Der Name kommt daher, dass auf der Vorderseite ein kleines Guckloch ist, wo ein besonderer Stoff rausschaut. Gefinkelt oder?

Some time ago I found the super cute "Cate Eye Pouch" from ThreadRidingHood. And it even is a free tutorial with pattern! The pattern pieces look a little confusing at first, but the tutorial is really great with lots of pictures. And so the pouch is really easy to sew. And so pretty!! It is named for the little peephole on the front where a special fabric shows through. Cunning, right?

Beim ersten Täschchen habe ich einen neuen, süßen Fuchsstoff verwendet und mit einem streichelweichen türkisen Stoff kombiniert. Die Innenseite ist dann richtig knallig bunt aus einem wunderschönen rot-weißen Stoff. Und auf der Rückseite trifft sich sogar - fast - das Muster vom Stoff *lach*. Den Zip habe ich noch mit einem Schlüsselring und einer Holzperle verziert.

For the first pouch I used a new, cute fox fabric and combined a super soft turquoise fabric. The inside really pops with a beautiful red-white fabric. And on the back side the pattern of the fabric almost matches *lol*. I embellished the zipper with a key ring and a wooden pearl.

Und weil ich mich nicht entscheiden konnte und Frau ja nie genug Täschchen haben kann, habe ich gleich noch eins genäht. Diesmal so richtig "Mädchen" mit viel Pink und einem Eulenstoff. Den habe ich auch für die Innenseite verwendet.

And because I couldn't decide which fabrics to use and because one can never have to many pouches I made another one. This one is really girly with a lot of pink and a cute owl-fabric that I also used for the lining.

Ich liebe beide Täschchen. Und Verwendung genug hab ich auch für beide ;)

I love both of them. And enough ways to use them too ;)

Irgendwann in den letzten Wochen habe ich voller Entsetzen festgestellt - ich habe keine alltagstaugliche braune Tasche!!!!!!!! Das muss geändert werden!
Ich habe recht lange nach einem Schnitt gesucht, der sich mit Kunstleder gut umsetzen lässt. Und vor ein paar Wochen dann diesen Schnitt entdeckt: Hanny! Ich hab mich sofort in die Tasche verliebt! Schön groß, die Falten sind ein Hingucker und ich liebe die Ösen!

Some time in the last few weeks I found out that I don't have an all-day brown bag!!! That needs to change!
I searched for the right pattern for quite some time, especially as I wanted to use faux leather. And some weeks ago I finally found it: Hanny! I immediately fell in love with the bag! Nice and big, the pleats are eyecatchers and I love the eyelets!

Die Tasche gibt es im Schnittmuster in drei Größen. Ich habe Medium genäht. Aber ich muss sagen  - die ist schon richtig richtig groß! Wenn ich sie nochmal nähe (und das mach ich bestimmt... ich hab da noch so ein tolles rotes Leder...), dann werde ich mal die Größe Small versuchen.
Die Außenseite ist wie gesagt aus braunem Kunstleder. Leider ist das nicht von sooo toller Qualität, aber es ist schon okay. Ich habe die Seiten aus jeweils zwei Stück Leder genäht (nicht im Bruch geschnitten), mir gefällt die Naht in der Mitte nämlich sehr gut.

The pattern comes with three different sizes. I sewed the Medium one. But I have to say - the bag is really big! When I sew it again (and I will... I have some great red leather...), I'm going to try the Small version.
The outside is made of brown faux leather. Unfortunately the leather quality isn't amazing, but it is okay. I made the sides out of two pieces of leather (didn't cut on fold) because I like the seam in the middle.

Der Futterstoff ist ein süßer brauner Vogelstoff. Hach ich liebe den Stoff - allerdings ist er jetzt so gut wie aufgebraucht! Passend dazu habe ich den blauen Reißverschluss und den blauen Uni-Kombistoff gewählt. Und eines meiner neuen Labels angebracht.

The lining fabric is a super cute brown birdie-fabric. Oooh I just love that fabric - but I used almost everything of it now! I combined with a blue zipper and the blue solid. And used one of my new labels.

Habe ich schon erwähnt, dass ich die Lösung mit den Ösen super finde? Den Träger habe ich auch aus Leder genäht und mit ganz normalen Karabinern eingehängt.

Did I mention that I really like the eyelets? I sewed the strap out of leather too and used some plain carabiners to attach it to the bag.

Und aus den Resten der Futterstoffe habe ich dann noch ein süßes Minitäschchen genäht. Die gratis Anleitung dazu gibt es HIER. Die sind super schnell genäht und als Taschenbaumler oder Schlüsselanhänger richtig praktisch!

And with the scraps of the lining fabric I made this cute tiny pouch. You can find the free pattern HERE. These pouches are sewn really fast and so useful attached to a bag or as a key pendant.

Stufenrock

Heute möchte ich meinen neuen Lieblingsrock zeigen!
Als ich die neueste Fashion&Style in der Hand hatte und darin den langen Sommerrock entdeckt habe, wusste ich sofort, dass der perfekt für meine Mama ist. Denn die liebt so lange Röcke. Also haben wir ihr letztes Wochenende einen aus schwarzer Baumwolle genäht. Sie hat mir nämlich beim Ausschneiden von Schnittmuster und Stoff geholfen und mich während des Nähens mit Getränken und Essen versorgt - sehr praktisch *hihi* Den Rock von meiner Mama zeige ich euch aber ein ander mal! Denn für mich selbst habe ich aus dem gleichen Schnittmuster auch etwas genäht...

Today I want to show you my new favorite skirt!
When I read the new Fashion&Style and saw the wonderful, long summer skirt, I immediately knew that it is perfect for my mother. She loves long skirts. So last weekend we sewed the skirt for her, with black cotton fabric. She actually helped me by cutting the pattern und fabric and made drinks and meals for me while I was sewing - very nice *hehe* I'll show you my mother's skirt another time though. I sewed something for myself from the same pattern...

Kann jemand erkennen, was der Stoff im früheren Leben einmal war? Ja genau - das war mal ne Ikea-Bettwäsche ;) Die blauen Punkte haben mir sofort gefallen und dann war sie auch noch verbilligt. Ein Paket Bettwäsche reicht grundsätzlich locker für so einen Rock. Allerdings wollte ich, dass die Punkte von oben nach unten gleichmäßig größer werden. Daher habe ich dann schon einiges an Stoff verbraucht und beim Zuschneiden ganz genau schauen müssen.

Can you see what the skirt is made out of? Right - that was once a bedding from Ikea ;) I just love the blue dots and it was on sale too. One piece of bedding is usually more than enough for such a skirt. But I wanted the dots to gradually become bigger. So I used quite a lot of fabric and had to look very closely while cutting out the pieces.

Der Rock ist sehr einfach zu nähen, eigentlich besteht er nur aus Rechtecken, die dann gekräuselt und zusammengenäht werden ;) Obenrum ist ein Gummizug eingenäht - sehr bequem! Im Schnittmuster ist der Gummibund ganz kompliziert erklärt und mit Bindeband und was weiß ich noch genäht. Ich hab das drastisch vereinfacht- Gummiband, Stoff drum rum, annähen ;)

The skirt is very easy to sew, it actually only consists of rectangles, which you pleat and sew together ;) There is an elastic too - very comfortable! In the pattern the sewing process of the elastic is very hard to follow and has an additional bow and and and... But I made that quite simple - just elastic, fabric on the outside, sew to the skirt ;)

Durch die Baumwoll-Bettwäsche ist der Rock sehr angenehm auf der Haut, bequem, schwingt im Wind und beim Gehen und sieht auch noch klasse aus!
Bitte entschuldigt die Bilderflut - ich konnte meinen Freund endlich dazu bringen, ein kleines Shooting mit mir zu machen. Und dann hat es richtig Spaß gemacht auf der Schaukel. Die Nachbarn haben wahrscheinlich gedacht wir spinnen *hihi*

Because of the cotton-bedding the skirt is very soft on the skin, comfortable and moves nicely in the wind and while walking. And it looks great too!
Please excuse the amount of pictures - I finally got my boyfriend to make a photo shooting with me. And then it was really fun on the swing. I guess the neighbours were thinking we're nuts *hehe*

Hex Hex...

... könnt ihr euch an den Bibi-Blocksberg Spruch erinnern? Ich hatte als kleines Mädchen Kassetten mit Bibi-Blocksberg Geschichten drauf, die ich immer an langen Fahrten in den Urlaub gehört habe.

... can you remember that Bibi-Blocksberg-saying? When I was a little girl I had some Bibi-Blocksberg-cassettes that I listened to when we were driving long distances.

Nachdem ich diese zwei Täschchen fertig hatte, musste ich gleich an "Hex Hex" denken. Passt doch, oder?

After finishing these two pouches I immediately had to think of "Hex Hex". Quite fitting, right?

Ich war ja vor ein paar Wochen alleine im Urlaub. Ich war 8 Tage lang mit dem Wohnmobil quer durchs Salzkammergut unterwegs. Es war richtig richtig schön! Und fad geworden ist mir alleine auch nicht. Denn abends habe ich begonnen, mich mit English Paper Piecing (EPP) zu beschäftigen. Das macht richtig Spaß! Mittlerweile hab ich einen richtigen Fundus von kleinen Sechsecken. Und aus einigen davon sind diese Täschchen entstanden.

Some weeks ago I was alone on a vacation. I drove 8 days with our mobile home through the beautiful "Salzkammergut". It was sooo great! And I didn't get bored either. In the evenings I started doing English Paper Piecing (EPP). That is so much fun! Since then I made quite a stash of little hexagons. And some of them are included in these pouches.


Das erste Täschchen ist inspiriert von der Sew-Together-Bag von Stoffexperimente. Mir hat die Kombi Leinen und bunte Baumwoll-Hexies bei ihr so gut gefallen! Die Hexies sind aus verschiedensten Stoffresten. Ich habe sie auf grobes Leinen appliziert, das ich mal von meiner Oma bekommen habe. Ich glaube der Stoff ist an die 50 Jahre alt :) Innen ist ein Patchwork-Stoff von Quilthome und dazu habe ich einen eher groben gelb-messingfarbenen Reißverschluss kombiniert.

Ich liebe dieses Täschchen!! Es hat genau die Maße von einem iPad-Mini. Könnt ihr den Holzfrosch im inneren sehen? Der muss herhalten, damit ich das Futter auch fotografieren kann ;)

The first pouch was inspired by Stoffexperimente's Sew-Together-Bag. I love the combination of linen and bright cotton-hexies. The hexies are made of several fabric scraps. I stitched them on coarse linen that I got from my grandmother. I think that fabric is about 50 years old :) The lining is a fabric from quilthome and I also used a big yellow-brass zipper.

I just love that pouch!! It has exactly the measurements of an iPad-Mini. Can you see the wooden frog peeping out? I use it to keep the pouch open so that I can take a picture of the lining ;)

Das zweite Täschchen besteht aus einigen Hexies mehr :) Viele dieser Stoffe sind Reste aus dem Tula-Pink-Quilt. Die Unterseite ist braunes Kunstleder und das Futter wieder ein Patchworkstoff von Quilthome. Diesmal habe ich einen zitronengelben Reißverschluss genommen und eine Quaste aus Leder dazu gebastelt.

Dieses Täschchen ist etwas kleiner als das erste und perfekt, um wichtige Kleinigkeiten in großen Taschen nicht zu verlieren.

The second pouch has some more hexies :) A lot of these fabrics are scraps from my Tula-Pink-Quilt. The bottom is brown faux leather and the lining is again quilting cotton from Quilthome. This time I used a lemon colored zipper and made a tassel out of leather scraps.

This pouch is a little smaller than the first. It is perfect for all the stuff you don't want to loose in big purses.

So... genug gehext für heute. Darum fliegen meine Täschchen zu

Sonnenbrillen-Etuis

Juhuuu - der Sommer ist da!
Okay, ganz so heiß müsste es nicht unbedingt sein. Aber trotzdem mag ich den Sommer! Laue Sommerabende, Eis, Baden und natürlich Sonnenschein.
Und wenn die Sonne scheint - was braucht man da? Ja klar ne Sonnenbrille^^ Ich hab ehrlichgesagt nicht nur eine, sondern mehrere ;) Und die brauchten schon länger mal eine hübsche Verpackung. Also habe ich mich im Netz auf die Suche nach Brillenetui-Schnittmustern gemacht. Und auch einiges gefunden...

Jippie - summer's here!
Okay, I wouldn't mind if it wasn't quite that hot. But I love summer! Warm summer evenings, ice cream, swimming and of course sunshine.
And what do you need when the sun is shining? Right - sunglasses^^ I have to admit, I don't only have one, I have several ;) And they are in dire need of a pretty case. So I browsed the internet for sunglass-case-patterns. And found some pretty ones too...

Das erste Schnittmuster ist von Sassi. Ich lese gerne und regelmäßig ihren Blog und da dachte ich mir, ich probiere das Schnittmuster mal aus. Es ist sogar gratis!! Also schaut es euch an :)
Es ist wirklich ratz-fatz genäht und mit der abgerundeten Ecke richtig hübsch. Wie man unschwer erkennen kann, habe ich Reststoffe von meiner Zidney-Tasche verwendet.

The first pattern is from Sassi. I like to read her blog and so I thought I'd try her pattern for a glasses case. It is even free! So head over to her blog to look at it :)
It can be sewn in quite a short amount of time and I really like the rounded edge. As you can see I used leftover fabrics from my Zidney-Bag.

Einen kleinen Nachteil hat das Etui von Sassi allerdings... Mit meiner Riesen-Sonnenbrille wird es etwas eng. Ich habe schließlich das Sunglass-Case Schnittmuster von ThreadRidingHood gefunden. Auch das ist gratis :) Die tolle Form hat mich gleich angesprochen.

There is a small disadvantage to Sassi's case though... My big big sunglasses don't fit that well. I finally found the sunglass-case-pattern from ThreadRidingHood. And it is free too :) I immediately liked the shape of it.

Sommerliche Stoffe waren schnell gefunden und mit dem Magnetverschluss ist es richtig chic geworden! Wundert euch nicht über die eigenartige Form des Schnittmusters zu Beginn ;) Bei dem Tutorial gibt es sogar mehrere Verschluss-Möglichkeiten. Mit Magnet (so wie ich), Klettverschluss und Knopf. Ich denke mit Kam-Snap siehts sicher auch gut aus!
Statt dem erwähnten "Plastic-Canvas" vom Tutorial habe ich Decovil verwendet und ansonsten mit H630 gefüttert.

I picked out some summery fabrics. I think the case is really chic with the magnetic closure. Don't mind the wonky shape of the pattern at the beginning ;) The tutorial includes several options to close the case. With a magnetic (as I did it), velcro and a button. I think a kam snap would look nice too!
Instead of the mentioned "pastic-canvas" I used decovil and for the rest I used H630.
