I didn't have time to sew in the last weeks, it was horrible! But last weekend I had lots of time and I used almost all of it for sewing :) So I was able to finish my first paper-piecing!
Die Anleitung für diesen Polsterüberzug stammt aus einer Patchwork-Zeitschrift und war perfekt um under anderem die Reste meines Sofa-Quilts zu verarbeiten.
The pattern is from a patchwork magazine and was just perfect. I was able to use up some scraps from my sofa-quilt.
Das paper piecing ist gar nicht so schwer, man muss nur genau schauen und es dauert halt etwas. Aber ich bin richtig richtig happy mit dem Ergebnis. Gequiltet hab ich mit dem neuen Obertransportfuß - was für ein Unterschied! Das Ding ist echt genial, ich hab überhaupt keine Stofffalten auf der Rückseite! (Nicht dass man sie bei dem Polster sehen würde^^) Ich habe transparentes Garn von Amann verwendet und mich für gerade Linien so in Fenster-Art entschieden.
The paper piecing is acutally pretty easy to do if you look closely at what you are doing and it takes some time. But I am really happy with my results. I quilted with my new walking foot - what a difference it makes! The foot is wonderful, I don't have any puckers at all at the back! (Not that one would be able to see them in a pillowcase^^) I used transparent thread and decided to quilt straight lines in a kind of window-style.
Die Rückseite ist aus meinem üblichen Wohnzimmer-Stoff und mit Hotelverschluss genäht. Einfach, schnell und hübsch!
The back is made out of my usual living-room-fabric and I used an envelope closure. Simple, fast and pretty!
